Construction Internship - Summer 2027

Location: Hybrid in Youngstown, Ohio or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States

What you will do

• Support live transportation projects and help address real-world design challenges.
• Complete assignments related to civil engineering, construction, and the intern’s field of study.
• Perform field work, including inspections and work at heights or in hot weather.
• Travel out of town for inspections; mileage and travel expenses are reimbursed.
• Work closely with an assigned manager and mentor in a team environment.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in the Youngstown, Ohio or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area in a hybrid arrangement.
• Ability to carry ladders and gear, climb, work at heights, and work in hot weather.
• Detail-oriented approach, strong technical skills, fast learning ability, and good verbal and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with MicroStation or AutoCAD.
