Logistics Engineer (IT Asset Management)

Location: Martinsburg, West Virginia, United States; onsite position

Salary: $46,770–$52,000 annually

What you will do

• Manage the complete lifecycle of IT assets and configuration items from procurement through disposition.
• Manage Moves, Adds, and Changes tickets in ServiceNow.
• Coordinate shipping, receiving, redistribution, reutilization, and disposal of IT equipment.
• Perform annual inventories and audits of assets within the VA Network & Security Operations Center.
• Install, remove, transport, and coordinate the installation of server and networking equipment using technical schematics.
• Develop logistics procedures, determine support sequences, and contribute to special projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma and 0–3 years of logistics engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Experience in a large asset management or logistics environment.
• Moderate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including strong practical use of Excel spreadsheets.
• Experience with ticketing systems and the ability to adapt to ERP systems.
• Basic technical understanding of network equipment and data center operations, along with good writing and interpersonal skills.
