Quantitative Trading Co-op

Location: Boston, MA, United States; hybrid schedule with four days in the office and one day working remotely

Salary: $19–$35 per hour

What you will do

• Produce research reports for traders and the trading desk on trading activity, execution quality, liquidity, and transaction costs.
• Analyze trading and execution data to identify trends, investigate anomalies, validate methodologies, and answer client and business questions.
• Work with traders, portfolio managers, relationship managers, Investment Science, Trading Technology, data vendors, and the dealer community.
• Maintain and enhance trading analytics data platforms, the data lake, reporting workflows, and dashboards.
• Own a longer-term project such as improving tools, automating manual processes, or leading a research initiative.

Requirements

• Experience using Python, SQL, Tableau, and other analytical tools to analyze large datasets and generate insights.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, navigate ambiguity, and deliver accurate work in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with and interest in financial markets, trading, and investment processes.
• Only Northeastern University students are eligible for this program.
