Brokerage Risk Analyst Intern (Summer 2027)

Location: Chicago, IL office with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week

Salary: $30–$34 USD per hour

What you will do

• Build SQL and Python scripts to automate reconciliations, risk alerts, and supervisory checks.
• Partner with data engineers and analysts to develop dashboards showing real-time risk metrics, exposures, and performance trends.
• Investigate brokerage risks, including trading anomalies, process breaks, and control failures, and propose solutions.
• Support GenAI projects involving document classification, books and records automation, access management, and test account oversight.
• Present findings and prototypes to senior leaders, demonstrating how technology can improve risk management.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Expected graduation in Winter 2027 or Summer 2028.
• Foundational experience with SQL and Python and an interest in financial and risk applications.
• Exposure to automation, machine learning, and AI.
• Strong analytical, communication, precision, accountability, and ethical judgment skills.
