Engineering Co-op (Mechanical)

Location: Elyria, Ohio, United States; onsite

Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components for aerospace and defense applications, including pumps and thermal management systems.

What you will do

• Support mechanical engineering projects under the guidance of a Mechanical Engineer.
• Contribute to process development, tooling, manufacturing systems, process improvements, cell design, and layout.
• Prepare, review, and approve process routings, sketches, tool sheets, NC programs, and process revisions.
• Support CNC and manual machining, assembly work instructions, fixture design, and cutting-tool selection.
• Coordinate with Design Engineering, supervisors, Quality, and Purchasing to complete assigned projects.
• Track and communicate project status while supporting manufacturing quality and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and Outlook.
• Good oral and written communication skills for reports, process instructions, and cross-functional support.
• Ability to assess, troubleshoot, and help resolve technical problems in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Access to controlled data may be required; US Persons only will be considered where applicable under ITAR requirements.

Nice to have

• CAD drafting or 3-D solid modeling experience, preferably Pro-E or AutoCAD.
• NC programming experience.
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) experience.
