Location: On campus in Laredo, Texas; regular attendance and face-to-face interactions are required.

Salary: $4,875.87 monthly; $58,510.44 annually.

Texas A&M International University’s Student Health Services provides healthcare and preventive health programs for students.

What you will do

• Provide direct patient care, triage, physical assessments, treatments, medication, and therapy in accordance with professional nursing standards.
• Maintain patient records, assess healthcare needs, provide patient education, and protect confidential health information.
• Administer immunizations and PPD tests, perform CLIA-waived laboratory tests, and support COVID-19 testing and vaccination activities.
• Assist with daily clinic operations, evaluate risks, maintain supplies and equipment, and coordinate testing materials.
• Supervise assigned staff and serve as a clinical resource for policies, procedures, and standards.
• Deliver preventive education programs for students, including residence life and student organization programs.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license issued by the State of Texas.
• At least two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• CPR certification and the ability to use and manage an Electronic Medical Records system.
• Knowledge of standard nursing procedures, techniques, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.
• Ability to multitask, communicate effectively, work cooperatively, maintain confidentiality, and manage sensitive Protected Health Information.
• Ability to work on campus, attend regularly, and work evenings or weekends when required for university events.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Experience in school health or public health.
• BLS Instructor, vision screener, or mental health first aid certification.
