RN - Evenings & Weekends

Location: On-site health center in Newark, New Jersey. Alternating weekend coverage is required, with Saturday and Sunday shifts between 6:00 am and 8:00 pm, plus additional weekday evening coverage between 11:00 am and 8:00 pm.

Salary: $38.40–$49.00 per hour

What you will do

• Assess patient care needs, conduct nursing evaluations, and provide treatment within the scope of practice.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners on further evaluation and care.
• Perform and document medical tests, screenings, and treatments, including EKG, audiometry, spirometry, and vision testing.
• Administer medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice.
• Maintain medical equipment, infection control standards, a clean environment, and accurate patient health records.
• Educate patients on health promotion and participate in follow-up care.

Requirements

• Certificate from an accredited nursing school or an associate degree in nursing is required; a BSN is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice is required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider is required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification may be required depending on the site contract.
• At least three years of Registered Nurse experience in an emergency room, occupational health clinic, or ambulatory care clinic.

Nice to have

• BSN from a four-year college or university.
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management.
