Auto Service Appraiser Sr- Desk

Location: Hybrid in Bloomington, Illinois, United States

Base pay: $66,400–$91,300 per year, plus eligibility for a short-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Inspect damaged vehicles and, when necessary, other damaged property.
• Prepare itemized damage appraisals and written repair estimates covering parts, materials, labor, and applicable policy coverage.
• Determine whether vehicle damage warrants a total-loss declaration.
• Audit and review body shop and independent appraiser estimates, supplements, and subrogation documentation.
• Communicate with vehicle owners and involved parties, negotiate settlements, and resolve claims within authorized limits.
• Maintain professional relationships with body shops, vendors, and internal customers.

Requirements

• Typically 7 or more years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in Bloomington, Illinois.
• Experience evaluating vehicle damage and preparing repair estimates is required for the role.
• Ability to communicate claim information and negotiate settlements with multiple parties.
