Field Service Engineer (Mechanical)

Location: 115 Lambeck Drive, Tullamarine, VIC, Australia. The role is performed at customer sites, including food processing plants, farms, and cold storage facilities, with extensive travel of up to 40%.

What you will do

• Install, commission, test, integrate, optimize, maintain, and repair mechanical systems at customer sites.
• Inspect and service sprockets, chains, belts, shafts, bearings, gearboxes, motors, rollers, frames, guarding, and related assemblies.
• Diagnose mechanical equipment issues and resolve machine problems through to completion.
• Perform preventative, pre-season, and post-season maintenance to improve machine performance and reliability.
• Keep customers, sales leadership, and the customer care centre informed about issues, resolutions, costs, and potential follow-up actions.
• Promote safe mechanical working practices and a safety-first culture.

Requirements

• Three or more years of experience as a field service engineer or equivalent education.
• Industrial trade qualification or equivalent degree/diploma in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, electronic, automation, or industrial manufacturing.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical equipment and conducting PC building, repair, and diagnostic testing.
• Working knowledge of PCs and Microsoft Office, with the ability to interpret technical procedures and regulations.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, customer service, and service-delivery skills.
• Ability to travel extensively up to 40%, drive without restrictions, hold a valid driver’s licence, and obtain a valid passport.

• Experience with packaging or printing machinery.
