Mid-Level Project Manager

Location: Lansing, Michigan; must be local within 50 miles or a one-hour commute. Hybrid work with at least two days onsite; no remote option.

What you will do

• Lead projects across initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and close-down.
• Define scope, schedules, budgets, deliverables, communications, quality standards, risks, issues, and change controls.
• Coordinate project teams, stakeholders, customers, vendors, end users, business leaders, and technology groups.
• Manage project financials, dashboards, executive reports, metrics, and required documentation.
• Track risks and issues to closure, communicate status to customers, leadership, and the PMO, and manage project commitments.
• Establish project standards, support continuous improvement, and coach project management staff.

Requirements

• Must be local to Lansing, Michigan, within 50 miles or a one-hour commute, and able to work onsite at least two days per week.
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent education, experience, and training.
• At least five years of full project management experience delivering projects through a complete project lifecycle.
• Experience independently leading complex, high-priority projects valued at $1M or more and lasting one year or longer.
• Strong communication, documentation, organization, leadership, negotiation, conflict-resolution, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software such as Microsoft Project; experience mentoring project management staff.
