What you will do

• Supervise employees performing assembly, inspection, testing, and final testing of capital equipment, systems, components, and subassemblies.
• Prioritize production schedules based on manpower, equipment efficiency, capacity, and material requirements.
• Track operational metrics, conduct milestone meetings, and improve cycle time and team performance.
• Resolve operations issues affecting customer satisfaction and coordinate with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
• Ensure employee safety and completion of required Environmental, Health, and Safety training.
• Develop personnel through hiring, coaching, performance management, career development, and corrective action.

Requirements

• Understanding of procedures and concepts within operations or manufacturing and basic knowledge of related functions.
• Formal supervisory experience with responsibility for setting priorities and coaching employees.
• Ability to identify and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems.
• Experience improving manufacturing processes, quality, safety, capacity, or operational performance.
• Ability to work in Austin, Texas, United States.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lean manufacturing, quality improvement, corrective action, or real-time production data analysis.
