Application Engineer

Location: On-site in Austin, Texas, with at least four days per week in the office at hirify.global Center. Travel may include up to 25% domestic and international travel. Relocation assistance may be authorized. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Salary: $98,964–$120,957 per year, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Represent end users as a technical representative and support product adoption through product performance, competitive analysis, and standards compliance.
• Build and leverage networks of engineers and scientists to influence and prioritize application development activities.
• Support new product launches by validating customer needs, product performance, and standards compliance.
• Partner with product development and business teams to create technical collateral.
• Lead customer technical interactions to identify electrical requirements and communicate product and application information.
• Deliver written, verbal, and field training on technical aspects of products and applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM field from an accredited institution, completed and verified before starting.
• Ability to work on-site in Austin at least four days per week.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship is required.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physical sciences, or a related discipline.
• Experience with transformers, electric motors, batteries, automotive electrification, tapes, or electrical supplies.
• Application engineering experience in a customer-facing or laboratory environment.
• Working knowledge of UL, ASTM, and similar agency standards.
• Demonstrated ability to apply innovative solutions to complex problems.
