Senior Counsel (Insurance Defense)

Location: Denver, CO, United States. Remote, hybrid, or onsite work options are available.

Base salary: $150,000–$190,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys may also receive an annual billable-hours bonus.

What you will do

• Develop compelling case themes and winning litigation strategies.
• Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, discovery, and trials.
• Manage full case handling responsibilities for complex insurance defense matters.
• Communicate routinely with clients and cultivate relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Collaborate with attorneys across experience levels and provide leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys.

Requirements

• 8+ years of litigation experience, including insurance defense experience.
• Active Colorado Bar license required.
• JD from an ABA-approved law school.
• Experience with litigation support, deposition and trial preparation, discovery, and full case management.
• Strong trial experience and demonstrated leadership ability.
• Proficiency with time-management systems and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
