Software Engineer III (Java)

Location: Onsite at 1395 Crossman Ave, Sunnyvale, California, United States

Annual salary: $117,000–$234,000, plus performance bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and maintainable services for the Last Mile Delivery platform.
• Build Java and Spring Boot applications with REST APIs and reusable platform components.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs focused on performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product management, project management, user experience, and other cross-functional teams.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Improve CI/CD through automation, telemetry, testing, defect management, and application monitoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related field with at least 2 years of software engineering experience, or 4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, object-oriented programming, Java/J2EE design, and Spring Boot.
• Experience with REST API design, platform development, component services, and SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Experience delivering software in Agile environments and applying CI/CD practices.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, root cause analysis, and technical communication skills.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices.
