Senior Software Engineer (Java)

Salary: $105,000–$115,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Develop software applications, modules, and components using Java.
• Design and build scalable REST APIs for internal interfaces and third-party integrations.
• Contribute to requirements analysis, system design, architecture, integration, testing, and project planning.
• Test code, identify defects, and improve software quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with software architects, designers, product managers, and other engineering stakeholders.
• Lead technical discussions, make critical decisions, and build consensus across the team.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years designing and building complex, scalable systems.
• Strong knowledge of Core Java 11/17+, JVM internals, memory management, performance tuning, and concurrency.
• Experience with Spring Boot, REST API design and security, relational and non-relational databases, Elasticsearch, cloud technologies, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with React, Next.js, and Material UI.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• In-person identity verification is required for employment. Immigration or employment-visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or ChatGPT.
• Familiarity with AI-directed prompt engineering for application development.
