Senior Security Engineer (AI Security)

Location: Hybrid role based in the New York City office

Salary: $167,500–$226,300 per year

What you will do

• Research AI threats, vulnerabilities, remediations, and advances in AI security controls.
• Evaluate AI tools and support AI system management, governance, and security architecture.
• Design and implement AI security capabilities across applications, infrastructure, AWS, and corporate environments.
• Establish AI security design standards and requirements aligned with internal policies.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, IT, risk, and security teams on AI initiatives and control implementation.
• Support incident triage and champion the use of AI in security operations and risk management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with information security, technical security controls, and security architecture, ideally in a SaaS environment.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience securing AI systems, evaluating AI threats, and implementing AI security controls.
• Experience with AI environments in AWS, cloud-native security architecture, scalable security solutions, and system design.
• Experience with AI engineering tools, vector databases, model hosting and monitoring, and AI coding assistants.
• Strong knowledge of Secure SDLC, DevSecOps, secure coding, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and security monitoring.
• Experience with Python, Ruby, or JavaScript, plus strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Go, Ruby on Rails, LangChain, LangGraph, MCP, or Agent-to-Agent Protocol.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, GIAC, CCSP, or CEH.
• Experience with DevOps, Jira, and agile automation tools.
