Associate Border Security Analyst II (Palo Alto Networks/Zscaler)

What you will do

• Operate and support global network security infrastructure, including Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Panorama, Zscaler, Tufin, and VPN technologies.
• Implement, modify, troubleshoot, and remove firewall policies, NAT policies, objects, services, and related configurations.
• Investigate firewall, VPN, Zscaler, and network connectivity issues using logs, traffic analysis, packet captures, and diagnostic tools.
• Support escalated network security incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with network engineering, infrastructure, application, cloud, and security teams on cross-functional issues.
• Participate in upgrades, migrations, maintenance, documentation, and after-hours or weekend support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of related experience, or a master’s degree with no experience required.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Panorama, and firewall policy administration.
• Experience with Zscaler, preferably including ZIA, ZPA, and Zscaler Client Connector.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, NAT, DNS, VPN technologies, and network security concepts.
• Experience with firewall troubleshooting, log and traffic analysis, ITIL or change-management processes, and enterprise change control.
• Ability to work independently, communicate technical issues clearly, and support extended hours or weekends when required.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of network engineering, network security, or firewall operations experience.
• Palo Alto Networks, CCNA, CCNP, or CISSP certification.
• Experience in large global enterprise environments and with firewall automation, APIs, Python, or other scripting technologies.
