Launch Manager (Automotive)

Location: West Point, GA, United States; onsite at the West Point Facility

Automotive manufacturing company focused on vehicle-seat and part production.

What you will do

• Manage new programs, plant projects, launch activities, and manufacturing change implementation using the Program Launch System.
• Coordinate Engineering, Operations, Quality, HSE, Materials, and Finance involvement in trials, approvals, implementation dates, and improvement initiatives.
• Support value analysis and value engineering activities, make-versus-buy evaluations, and material cost-reduction projects.
• Review and communicate deviations, change requests, and change notices through the hirify.global PLM Teamcenter system.
• Create project reports, presentations, tracking files, and management updates while monitoring launch and change milestones.
• Coordinate seat and part shipments, inventory and expense tracking, packaging procurement, and training on boxing and palletizing methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Three to five years of automotive experience.
• Project management experience involving manufacturing change-management disciplines is preferred.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, blueprints, procedures, and other technical documents and prepare routine reports.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with appropriate software programs, including the ability to create visual communication aids.
• Ability to work onsite at the West Point, Georgia facility and directly supervise hourly Master Builders as assigned.
