Assistant Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders (Speech-Language Pathology)

Location: Laredo, Texas, United States; regular face-to-face attendance on campus and in the workplace is required.

What you will do

• Teach assigned courses in the Communication Sciences and Disorders program.
• Evaluate student progress and complete the administrative work associated with assigned courses.
• Supervise field-based students and student internships when needed.
• Develop a record of scholarly productivity through peer-reviewed publications, professional conferences, and meetings.
• Assist with the development of a Master's program in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
• Provide service to the department, college, and university.

Requirements

• Doctorate in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field from a regionally accredited institution; ABD candidates may be considered if the doctorate is completed before appointment.
• Demonstrated potential for teaching, peer-reviewed scholarship, and external funding.
• Ability to support first-generation students.
• Hold or be eligible for Texas SLP licensure and/or ASHA CCC-SLP certification.
• Ability to maintain a regular on-campus and workplace attendance schedule in Laredo, Texas.
