Nursing Assistant Adjunct Instructor (Nursing)

Location: Onsite at the ground campus in Clearwater, Florida, with a flexible remote schedule potentially available for online instruction. Evening and weekend work may be required.

Anticipated starting rate: $810.00 per week.

What you will do

• Deliver the standardized distance education curriculum according to the assigned schedule.
• Facilitate discussion forums, interactive course posts, and weekly office hours to engage students.
• Grade course activities weekly, monitor student progress, and provide timely academic feedback.
• Create learning support tools based on demonstrated student needs.
• Communicate with students, program leadership, and other departments while maintaining faculty records and following institutional policies.
• Support student retention, certification, graduation, and career placement outcomes.

Requirements

• Active Florida license to practice as either a practical nurse or professional nurse.
• At least one year of clinical experience, plus one of the following: a course in teaching adults, one year of adult-teaching experience, or one year supervising nursing assistants.
• Professional fluency in written and verbal English.
• Communication, presentation, organization, people-orientation, time-management, and basic computer skills.
• Ability to support a diverse and inclusive work environment and follow applicable education, accreditation, state, federal, and internal compliance requirements.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or higher in education, healthcare management, communication, nursing, or general studies.
• Experience applying adult-learning principles to blended learning.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, learning management systems, student information systems, and synchronous instructional tools.
