Medical Assistant Instructor - Per Diem

Location: San Jose, CA, USA; campus-based position

Compensation: USD 31–34 per hour

What you will do

• Deliver prepared medical assisting instruction and provide technological and academic training.
• Design and teach lesson plans that reflect student abilities, learning styles, and individual accommodations.
• Explain syllabus competencies and evaluate student performance through cooperative learning, reports, teamwork, and other methods.
• Provide ongoing academic advising and career counseling while identifying and supporting students at risk of leaving the course.
• Participate in academic committees and institutional initiatives, and communicate with campus departments.
• Follow company policies and comply with state, Department of Education, and accreditation regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma; advanced education or a college degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years of hands-on clinical experience as a medical assistant.
• Current knowledge of medical assistant practice and the ability to mentor a diverse student population.
• Ability to work independently with strong interpersonal, oral presentation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
• Graduation from an accredited medical assisting program and RMA, CMA, or NRCMA certification are preferred.
