TL;DR
Founding Forward Deployed Data Engineer in LATAM (AI/Data Engineering): Deploying Hilbert's AI Growth Engine for enterprise customers across Latin America through ClickHouse-managed and warehouse-native integrations, with an accent on semantic modeling, data orchestration, and customer deployments. Focus on building translation layers for custom datasets, using agent-assisted discovery to generate pipelines, and establishing the technical playbook for a new regional engineering function.
Location: Remote in LATAM; regular travel across the region for customer onboarding, implementation, and deployment milestones. Relocation within Latin America may be required in the future when a regional hub is established. Collaboration spans US and Europe time zones.

What you will do
- Own technical deployments for enterprise customers across Latin America, from data discovery through production.
- Design and implement managed ClickHouse or warehouse-native integrations using customer infrastructure such as Snowflake and BigQuery.
- Build semantic definitions and translation layers for custom enterprise datasets so AI agents can reason from accurate business context.
- Transform diverse source data into canonical growth models supporting Hilbert's ML systems.
- Use the Discovery Agent to analyze customer data, suggest mappings, and accelerate initial pipeline creation.
- Help establish deployment processes, technical standards, and the regional operating model for LATAM.
Requirements
- Professional fluency in English and Spanish is required.
- Deep experience with dbt and warehouse-native data modeling.
- Experience with modern data warehouses and their optimization strategies, including ClickHouse, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
- Strong Python and SQL skills, with experience in data orchestration and pipeline development.
- Experience with semantic layer frameworks such as Cube or MetricQL.
- Experience with enterprise technical implementations, agentic workflows, and direct customer collaboration.
Nice to have
- Portuguese proficiency, particularly for work in Brazil.
- Background in e-commerce, retail, marketplaces, or consumer technology.
- Experience building an early-stage engineering function or launching a new market.
