What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures for analytical and operational workloads.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Manage and optimize cloud data warehouses, primarily BigQuery and Snowflake, for cost and performance efficiency.
• Implement data governance, security, and privacy best practices to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with analytics teams to define data models and enable self-service BI capabilities.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure high availability and system reliability.

Requirements

• Certified Snowpro is required.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering and building modern cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (performance tuning, security, and modeling) and advanced SQL.
• Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and orchestration.
• Experience with dbt and orchestration tools such as Dagster or Apache Airflow.
• Must be based in Latin America and be able to align with PT or ET timezones.
• English: C1 (Excellent) required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake Cortex, Snowpark, or ML workflows integrated with Snowflake.
• Familiarity with GenAI, LLM-enabled analytics, and semantic layers.
• Experience with Databricks or hybrid Snowflake + Databricks architectures.
• Exposure to real-time data pipelines and BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
• Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform in data environments.
