Location: Washington, DC, United States; hybrid work from the Washington, DC office 2 to 3 days per week. Domestic travel of up to approximately 20% is required. Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the United States. U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available. The role is not eligible for a relocation package.
Annual base salary: $176,600–$294,300, plus a 20% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do
- Advance ’s federal policy priorities through lobbying and advocacy with U.S. Senators, Senate offices, committees, and staff.
- Track and analyze legislative and regulatory developments involving drug pricing, healthcare, intellectual property, tax, budget, and innovation policy.
- Develop policy positions, talking points, advocacy strategies, correspondence, testimony, comment letters, and legislative summaries.
- Prepare senior-leader briefings, background memos, meeting agendas, and follow-up materials.
- Represent in industry coalitions, trade associations, and advocacy organizations, and coordinate external policy consultants.
- Advise business units and internal stakeholders on Senate developments, hearings, markups, floor activity, and policy implications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; a law degree or master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 8 years of experience in federal government, Capitol Hill, the White House or Executive Branch, government relations consulting, trade associations, or the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry.
- Experience with federal policy development and advocacy, Congressional processes, procedures, and ethics rules.
- Strong relationship-building, collaboration, leadership, coaching, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work across party lines, navigate complex stakeholder environments, and exercise integrity, discretion, and sound judgment.
- Permanent U.S. work authorization is required; U.S. work visa sponsorship is unavailable.
Nice to have
- Experience with the Senate Finance, HELP, Judiciary, Budget, or Appropriations Committees.
- Knowledge of Democratic Senate caucus dynamics and the U.S. legislative process.
- Experience leading policy advocacy, relationship management, political communications, and external engagement strategies.
- Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, Medicare/Medicaid, pharmaceutical pricing and supply chains, trade, or corporate tax issues.
