What you will do

• Monitor applicable laws and regulations, identify emerging compliance risks, and recommend policy and control enhancements.
• Design and execute a risk-focused compliance testing program across departments, report findings, and track corrective actions.
• Provide regulatory guidance on business units, products, services, operations, policies, procedures, and disclosures.
• Support Enterprise Risk Management through risk assessments, control-effectiveness reporting, and risk mitigation recommendations.
• Maintain the business continuity program and support periodic tabletop exercises.
• Support audits and examinations and follow BSA/OFAC policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Five to eight years of compliance or audit experience in a credit union or bank.
• In-depth knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing credit union or bank operations, including loan and deposit products.
• Strong writing, communication, analytical, research, and regulatory interpretation skills.
• Ability to provide practical compliance recommendations, manage multiple tasks, and work independently.
• College degree plus advanced coursework or experience in credit union or bank compliance.
• Prompt and regular attendance is required at the Hoover, Alabama location.
