Software Engineer, Regulatory Reporting (Fintech)

Location: London, UK; hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week in the office

What you will do

• Automate Compliance and Finance regulatory reporting processes.
• Process large volumes of data from the data warehouse to generate accurate reports and reconciliations.
• Partner with Compliance, Finance, and Treasury stakeholders to translate regulatory and financial obligations into scalable technical solutions.
• Lead technical design and development, prioritize work, and conduct code reviews.
• Establish and evolve technical standards and engineering best practices.

Requirements

• At least three years of software design and development experience, including CI/CD, source control, testing, and quality management.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, database design, and data warehouses such as Snowflake.
• Ability to develop complex solutions that process data at scale.
• Clear communication skills for collaboration with non-technical stakeholders, product managers, and engineers.
• Strong troubleshooting, logical assessment, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience designing post-trade automation systems for complex data problems.
• Experience generating financial regulatory reports such as EMIR, MiFID, SFTR, CPR, or K Factor reports.
