Software Engineer, DevSecOps

What you will do

• Build and maintain GitLab CI, Jenkins, and other CI/CD pipelines for enterprise mission applications.
• Develop, test, and maintain containerized applications and supporting build and release tooling.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code with Packer, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Integrate security tooling for SAST, DAST, software composition analysis, container scanning, secrets detection, and policy gates.
• Automate security control validation, evidence collection, vulnerability management, and ATO/cATO readiness.
• Collaborate with security engineers, developers, value stream teams, and government stakeholders while architecting logging, monitoring, and telemetry.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, software engineering, or a related field.
• DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ CE or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience with senior-level responsibility and comprehensive knowledge of DevSecOps and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with CI/CD, Packer, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, cloud platforms, Linux, Bash, and Python.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in San Antonio, Texas.

Nice to have

• Active TS/SCI clearance, an advanced technical degree, or certifications such as CKS, CKA, AWS, CCSP, or GitLab certifications.
• Experience with Java/Spring, Python, JavaScript/Node, Angular, microservices, Istio, or government software factory environments.
• Experience with cATO, secure software supply chains, SBOMs, artifact signing, IL4-IL6 cloud environments, and security assessment roles.
• Experience with GitLab security policies, Twistlock, Anchore, Defect Dojo, cosign/sigstore, and end-of-life image detection.
