Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager

Location: New York City, New York; hybrid work between home and office

Salary: $135,000–$145,000 per year in New York

What you will do

• Manage the SEC reporting cycle and support statutory financial statement preparation and external audit coordination.
• Own operating and performance indicators, including constant-currency calculations, for management and external reporting.
• Provide subject-matter expertise on revenue recognition, capitalized software, mergers and acquisitions, and financial statement presentation.
• Lead complex accounting projects, analyze technical accounting transactions, and present findings to internal stakeholders.
• Prepare accounting white papers, calculations, journal entries, and technical accounting memos.
• Review new accounting pronouncements, assess their impact, and support implementation of new standards.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in technical accounting and financial reporting, from Big 4 or a combination of Big 4 and technology-company experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of Workiva.
• Strong problem-solving, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
• New York metro location is preferred.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Workday Financials, Alteryx, and Salesforce.
• Active CPA license.
• Experience overseeing equity accounting and stock-based compensation.
