Salary: $200,000–$230,000 per year, plus eligible RSU grants.

Company

hirify.global develops electric vehicle charging networks and hardware, software, and mobile solutions for electric mobility across North America and Europe.

What you will do

  • Design and implement embedded control systems for PFC, grid-tie and grid-forming inverters, bidirectional chargers, and DC/DC converters.
  • Develop real-time control firmware and device drivers for microcontrollers, DSPs, and FPGAs using C/C++ and related technologies.
  • Validate control designs through computer simulation, laboratory testing, board bring-up, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Develop automated HIL test cases, plant models, hardware interfaces, fault injection scenarios, and test-result analysis.
  • Implement communication peripherals and protocols including CAN, I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, timers, PWM, ADC, GPIO, and interrupts.
  • Support specifications, design reviews, unit testing, debugging, and compliance with UL, IEC, and SAE safety and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of experience developing power electronics products and 6+ years of programming experience.
  • Strong C/C++, Assembly, and Python skills for 32-bit controllers, DSPs, real-time systems, and automation.
  • Experience implementing power-converter control code without code-generation tools, including PI, PR, droop, PLL, timing, PWM, and harmonic-cancellation algorithms.
  • Hands-on experience with inverters, rectifiers, DC/DC converters, grid-tie inverter systems, EVSE, solar, BESS, and related power electronics.
  • Experience with PLECS, MATLAB, Simulink, RTOS, FPGA programming, Git or SVN, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • High-power laboratory experience and the ability to debug firmware and hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers.

Culture & Benefits

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k), paid time off, parental leave, life and disability insurance, and wellness resources.
  • Annual merit-based RSU grants and a new-hire RSU grant.
  • Inclusive and diverse workplace with reasonable accommodations during the employment process.
