Mechatronics Engineer

What you will do

• Design, prototype, and maintain mechanical test fixtures, jigs, and tooling for reliable and repeatable operator use.
• Integrate sensors, actuators, cameras, and other instruments into automated test stations.
• Specify and integrate testing equipment and instrumentation from external vendors, including RF housings, GNSS, and optical systems.
• Collaborate with automation software engineers on control and software integration for test systems.
• Work with product development, manufacturing, and infrastructure teams to deliver maintainable automation solutions for factory and field operations.

Requirements

• MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
• Excellent CAD skills and experience with rapid prototyping and robust mechanical implementation, using SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar tools.
• Experience working with external vendors and machine shops for part fabrication and test equipment selection.
• Ability to perform soldering, wiring, and small-scale electrical circuit work for test-system integration.
• Experience with electronic assemblies and PCBAs.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with pogo-pin or bed-of-nails fixturing.
• Knowledge of RF housing design and specifications.
• Experience with occasional software integration for test systems.
