Operations Research, Engineering Analytics Graduate Intern (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Annual salary range: $133,498–$133,502 USD

What you will do

• Develop and enhance factory simulation models for semiconductor manufacturing operations.
• Build data pipelines and analytics solutions using manufacturing data.
• Apply mathematical modeling, discrete-event simulation, statistics, and optimization to operational problems.
• Conduct experiments and analyze results to improve capacity and production decisions.
• Support operational decision making for complex manufacturing systems.

Requirements

• Be pursuing a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or Operations Research.
• Have a strong background in software development.
• Demonstrate quantitative problem-solving skills and programming experience with Python and SQL.
• Be expected to graduate in December 2027 or Summer 2028, preferably.
• Be able to work in a hybrid model with on-site work at the assigned Phoenix, Arizona location.

Nice to have

• Experience with discrete-event predictive modeling and digital twin manufacturing simulations.
• Experience with Oracle PL/SQL, R, applied statistics, data visualization, and time series analysis.
• Experience with machine learning, including regression, clustering, neural networks, classification, transformer models, and attention mechanisms.
• Knowledge of LangChain, LLM application development, model fine-tuning, CPLEX, linear programming, or mixed-integer programming.
• Manufacturing automation or production planning experience and a 3.0 GPA.
