Advanced Manufacturing Intern (Manufacturing Data Analytics)

Location: McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania, United States; the role combines office work with physical activity in field and production environments.

Pay range: $18.00–$37.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support visualization of factory quality, availability, and performance data to inform manufacturing decisions.
• Create custom Ignition dashboards and perform statistical analysis of weld, paint, and assembly data for predictive models.
• Identify opportunities for automated feedback in paint systems, smart torque tools, and robotic welding systems.
• Participate in time studies, line balancing, ergonomic assessments, and workstation or production-cell analyses.
• Provide input on manufacturing fixtures and tooling, and create or revise plant layout drawings using AutoCAD or similar tools.
• Learn and use ERP manufacturing software while supporting continuous-improvement projects.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in data analytics, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or computer science.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Ability to work across office and production environments, including walking on shop floors, standing, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to shift between detailed analytical work and occasional physical tasks.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Excel and SQL.
• Familiarity with Power BI.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or industrial process optimization.
