Senior Research Manager (AI)

Location: Remote, hybrid, or in-office within the United States; coordination across East Coast and Europe time zones

Estimated annual pay range: $101,000–$185,100 USD

What you will do

• Lead major initiatives within the AI R&D team in partnership with the AI Director.
• Manage cross-functional AI projects supporting user experience, game development pipelines, and creative capabilities.
• Coordinate collaboration between East Coast and European teams and projects.
• Build empowered, high-performing teams and align them around clear goals.
• Manage project scope, resources, timelines, risks, roadmaps, requirements, and delivery processes.
• Maintain external partner relationships and use feedback to improve processes and approaches.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software project management experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience with the full lifecycle of an AI product, AI research, or game development.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams, preferably in an Agile environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication, emotional intelligence, analytical skills, and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience with project management tools such as Hansoft, Jira, Confluence, and Office applications.
• Ability to coordinate work across East Coast and European time zones.

Nice to have

• Deep understanding of the AI and gaming industries.
• Strong knowledge of the Atlassian suite, including Jira and Confluence.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
