Technician II (Purification)

Location: Onsite in San Diego, California, United States. Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.

Hourly salary: $23–$25, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Prepare, test, and monitor reagents for synthesis, purification, and quality control processes.
• Assess QC data accurately and make pass/fail decisions for oligos.
• Operate automated and manual laboratory equipment.
• Perform limited equipment maintenance, decontamination, and troubleshooting.
• Follow safety regulations, laboratory SOPs, and contamination-control procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED plus 18 months of laboratory experience, or an associate’s degree in a science-related field.
• Ability to perform repetitive work according to defined procedures, sequences, or pace.
• Ability to switch between duties without losing efficiency or composure.
• Availability for the Sunday–Thursday overnight shift.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Internet use.
