Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States. The role requires significant on-site presence, including time on feet, with work performed in an office or hybrid environment; occasional travel may be required for audits and supplier visits.

What you will do
- Lead quality improvement initiatives across the production lifecycle.
- Plan, conduct, and support internal and external quality audits.
- Develop, implement, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions, including CARs, CIs, and nonconformances.
- Analyze quality data and statistical metrics to identify trends and improve processes.
- Advise operations leadership on AS9100 requirements, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and effectiveness checks.
- Represent the QMS with external customers, collaborate with suppliers, and mentor engineers and production staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or at least 6 years of related experience as a substitute.
- At least 2 years of experience as a quality engineer or in a related field.
- Knowledge and practical use of AS9100, ISO 9001, military standards, and statutory specifications.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality management systems, with strong leadership and project management skills.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret U.S. security clearance are required.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly, remain on feet for a significant portion of the shift, and use testing and inspection tools.
Nice to have
- Experience with aircraft modifications, defense contracts, and external audits.
- Certified Auditor credentials or equivalent experience.
- Power BI, Microsoft Office Suite, database, and Octave/ETQ experience.
- Experience influencing operations leaders, mentoring QMS principles, and working independently.
