Associate Designer, Sweaters

Location: New York, NY, United States

Base salary: $65,000–$75,000 per year, plus benefits, short-term incentive program, clothing allowance, and merchandise discounts.

What you will do

• Create and update sketches, CADs, pitch sheets, and design presentations.
• Maintain seasonal yarn bins and design boards with weekly updates.
• Support yarn, stitch, color, trim, and technique development for sweaters.
• Prepare pass-off information for Product Development, Technical Design, and factories.
• Participate in fittings, record fit notes, and update sketches.
• Track samples, manage knitdown requests, and follow up on outstanding development items.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2–4 years of design experience.
• Previous sweater and knitwear experience.
• Strong Illustrator and Photoshop skills and proficiency in CAD.
• Proactive approach, problem-solving ability, strong organization, attention to detail, and reliable follow-through.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of PLM or VibeIQ.
