Disney Live Entertainment Costume Development Intern (Fashion Design)

Location: Lake Buena Vista, Florida, United States. Onsite internship from approximately January 2027 through June 2027. Reliable transportation and availability for the full internship are required.

Pay: $22.00 per hour. Select medical, financial, and other benefits may be provided.

What you will do

• Support Costume Development Managers and Designers on new costume design projects.
• Attend fittings, production and vendor meetings, conduct research, and support presentations.
• Assist with operational costume development for Disney Parks and Resorts.
• Create garment technical packages, develop specifications, and maintain documentation systems.
• Coordinate sample reviews and collaborate with designers, buyers, clients, production support, and management.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, taking at least one class at the time of application, or participating in a Disney College Program or internship.
• Currently enrolled as a senior or graduate student with a major or previous coursework in Business, Fashion Design, Merchandising, Costume Design, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of garment construction and textiles, plus strong analytical, financial, strategic thinking, project management, planning, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, multitasking ability, and the ability to meet quick deadlines.
• Computer proficiency in Excel and willingness to learn new programs; a portfolio with the best 10 pieces of artwork is required.
• Unrestricted US work authorization, a valid US driver's license, ability to operate a company vehicle, and reliable transportation are required.

• Experience building positive inter-departmental relationships.
• Basic knowledge and curiosity about Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.
