What you will do
- Develop and maintain technical specifications and tech packs for woven and denim ready-to-wear products.
- Partner with Design, Merchandising, Product Development, Production, Pattern Makers, Sample Makers, offshore offices, and suppliers to execute product vision.
- Review proto samples, patterns, fit intent, and construction; identify issues and recommend technical adjustments.
- Lead fittings on live models and fit forms, resolve fit issues, provide corrections, and release graded specifications across the size range.
- Maintain woven fit blocks and technical standards while balancing fit, construction, quality, cost, and production calendars.
- Manage, coach, and develop direct reports, prioritize workloads, and address timeline risks; travel to suppliers and offshore offices when required.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of experience in technical design, patternmaking, garment construction, and fittings.
- Strong knowledge of woven fabrics, materials, construction, garment fit, and fit execution, including woven and denim bottoms.
- Experience conducting fittings on live models and fit forms and troubleshooting garment fit.
- Experience managing, coaching, and developing team members in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PDF tools, and related technical design systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, organization, accuracy, and follow-through.
