Senior Product Designer, Design Systems (AI)

Location: Must be based in the United States or Canada

Salary: $97,600–$146,400 base salary per year, with potential additional earnings through bonuses and profit sharing.

What you will do

• Lead the creation and evolution of enterprise design systems, including UI kits, component libraries, documentation, and governance models.
• Build and maintain advanced Figma libraries using auto layout, variables, interactive components, and design tokens.
• Audit, refactor, prototype, and test components to improve usability, accessibility, performance, and consistency.
• Partner with engineering and cross-functional teams to maintain parity between design and code and support system adoption.
• Create scalable documentation and onboarding materials for product teams.
• Mentor designers and lead client-facing working sessions and presentations.

Requirements

• 5 or more years of design experience in an in-house product or design systems team, consultancy, or agency.
• Expert knowledge of design fundamentals, UX, digital product experiences, and enterprise design systems.
• Advanced Figma skills, including Auto Layout, Variables, Dev Mode, and advanced prototyping.
• Experience with design system tools such as Zeroheight, Knapsack, Tokens Studio, or Gradial.
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design, WCAG accessibility requirements, and Agile processes.
• Strong portfolio, communication, collaboration, visual design, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Curiosity about Figma AI features such as Make and MCP Server.
• Experience integrating AI into product and design system workflows.
