Engineering Test Lab Supervisor (HVAC)

Location: On-site five days per week in Anoka, Minnesota, United States

Compensation: $62,900–$116,900 per year, with potential additional annual incentives.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop test technicians while assigning work and supporting team performance.
• Coordinate technician assignments, instrumentation, equipment availability, and laboratory resources across testing activities.
• Support prototype, pre-production, product verification, product validation, agency, and performance testing with engineering and R&D partners.
• Help identify and resolve test setup, equipment, and product performance issues, escalating complex challenges to technical experts.
• Monitor testing progress, address workflow constraints, and improve laboratory utilization, readiness, and throughput.
• Support technician onboarding, training, cross-training, equipment readiness, and downtime reduction.

Requirements

• Experience working in an engineering test lab, product testing, or product validation environment.
• At least one year of direct people leadership experience, including assigning work, coordinating resources, coaching employees, and supporting team performance.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical proficiency for understanding testing methods, analyzing issues, and guiding technicians through complex procedures and equipment challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with technicians, engineers, and laboratory leadership.
• Associate degree in electrical technology, electronics, HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical technology, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent education and experience considered.
• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds without assistance and stand or sit for extended periods.

• Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, thermal management, cooling systems, or other sophisticated electro-mechanical products.
