What you will do

• Lead semiconductor integration architectures and strategies for quantum computing platforms.
• Define integrated process flows spanning front-end devices, BEOL routing, photonics, advanced packaging, interconnects, and quantum-specific process modules.
• Build technology roadmaps, identify technology gaps, and drive closure plans through internal development and external collaborations.
• Optimize integration using DOE methodologies, statistical analysis, process windows, performance metrics, and yield learning.
• Translate quantum system requirements into semiconductor technology requirements and coordinate execution across engineering, manufacturing, packaging, reliability, and design enablement.
• Lead data analysis, root-cause investigations, predictive modeling, technical reviews, and mentorship of junior contributors.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline; an associate degree, BS, MS, or PhD is accepted.
• 15+ years of semiconductor process integration, technology development, or advanced manufacturing experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in semiconductor integration, process development, or technology commercialization.
• Experience leading cross-functional technical programs or major development initiatives.
• Strong analytical, experimental design, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
• Ability to work in Malta, New York, USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with advanced semiconductor integration, BEOL, photonics integration, advanced packaging, or heterogeneous integration.
• Knowledge of quantum hardware architectures, ion trapping, photonic systems, or cryogenic electronics.
• Experience with government, commercial, or academic R&D partnerships and joint development programs.
• Familiarity with MES systems, foundry processing, and transitioning research technologies into manufacturing.
