Manufacturing Engineer (Virtual Engineering)

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Warren, Michigan (Hybrid: 3+ days/week in office)

What you will do

• Perform dynamic simulations for robotic and manual assembly operations using Siemens Process Simulate and Tecnomatix.
• Assess product designs and process concepts for manufacturing readiness, identifying ergonomic and interference risks.
• Lead virtual builds and manage manufacturing sequences within Teamcenter and Manufacturing Process Planner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify study objectives and communicate engineering results.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, C#, or VBA to improve engineering workflows and reduce repetitive tasks.
• Validate digital tools and troubleshoot system issues related to engineering data and simulation environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
• Experience with dynamic simulation, virtual engineering, or manufacturing process analysis.
• Proficiency with Siemens Process Simulate, Tecnomatix, and Teamcenter.
• Basic to intermediate coding skills in Python, C#, or VBA.
• Must have existing work authorization in the US; GM does not provide immigration sponsorship for this role.
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity in Warren, Michigan.
