Engineer I - Manufacturing (2027 Engineering Development Program)

Location: Onsite at hirify.global Plant 3 Production Offices in Pella, Iowa, USA. Occasional travel is expected.

What you will do

• Collaborate with manufacturing, product development, and lifecycle teams to improve production quality, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Apply lean manufacturing, just-in-time production, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methods to reduce waste.
• Interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics for assembly and welding processes.
• Design and optimize tooling and fixtures, including digital work instructions that improve operator safety and efficiency.
• Manage process changes, BOM updates, and documentation through PLM and ECN systems such as Teamcenter or Windchill.
• Use ERP systems, Power BI dashboards, and IoT-enabled monitoring tools to support data-driven decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, tooling design, technical drawings, continuous improvement, and digital work instruction tools.
• Familiarity with assembly, welding, JIT manufacturing, statistical process variation, and mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics.
• Exposure to PLM and ECN systems, including Teamcenter or Windchill, as well as BOM and process documentation.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, Power BI, or IoT-enabled process monitoring.
• Ability to work onsite at the hirify.global campus in Pella, Iowa, with occasional travel.
