Procurement Operations Manager

Location: Etobicoke, Ontario (Toronto airport area); on-site Monday–Thursday and remote on Fridays

Salary: CA$85,000–CA$110,000 base plus annual bonus

What you will do

• Lead the Procurement Operations team, including daily prioritization, workload allocation, coaching, performance reviews, hiring, and onboarding.
• Oversee the purchase-order cycle in Epicor Prophet 21, from PO entry and supplier confirmations through expediting, receipts, back orders, and returns.
• Manage quote requests for Sales and Customer Service, including landed cost, lead time, minimum order quantities, tooling, and freight.
• Coordinate replenishment planning, inbound freight, inventory exceptions, returns, credits, and invoice or bill-of-lading discrepancies.
• Track supplier performance and team KPIs such as quote turnaround, open POs, fill rate, on-time delivery, exceptions, and data accuracy.
• Maintain item, supplier, and cost master data while documenting procedures and resolving recurring operational issues through root-cause analysis.

Requirements

• 3+ years supervising and leading a team of at least five people, plus 6+ years as an individual contributor in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain.
• Previous responsibility for more than $30 million in procurement spend and experience developing buyers or procurement coordinators.
• Strong knowledge of the purchase-order cycle, replenishment planning, inbound logistics, three-way matching, returns, credit memos, and supplier performance management.
• Experience with an ERP system; Epicor Prophet 21 is preferred, while Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or similar systems are acceptable.
• Advanced Excel reporting experience, including XLOOKUP and pivot tables, as well as experience managing procurement KPIs.
• Post-secondary education in supply chain, business, or operations, or equivalent experience, with clear communication across suppliers, carriers, and internal teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in industrial distribution, manufacturing, or packaging.
• Import purchasing experience involving customs brokers, commercial invoices, and CUSMA certificates of origin.
• Experience with MRP or Prophet 21 replenishment and purchasing requirements tools.
• Experience automating procurement reports or workflows, including the use of AI tools.
• SCMP, CPIM, or CSCP certification, or progress toward one.
