Data Analyst (Fintech)

Location: London, UK; hybrid role with regular office attendance. Work from home is available on Mondays and Fridays, with in-office collaboration on other weekdays.

What you will do

• Analyse pricing, loan funnel, and credit optimisation opportunities for UK loan products.
• Research and propose improvements to pricing strategies and modelling methodologies.
• Collaborate with credit and product teams to align pricing decisions with risk and underwriting strategies.
• Translate business problems into data questions, analyse large datasets, and propose solutions.
• Communicate analytical findings through clear written and verbal presentations.
• Develop technical expertise and progressively take ownership of analytical models.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in a technical, analytical, or data-focused role.
• Experience with Python, including pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn, as well as SQL.
• Theoretical understanding of core machine learning techniques and statistical principles.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with experience working with large datasets.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to contribute effectively within a team.
• Self-driven approach and willingness to take ownership of tasks and analyses.

Nice to have

• Exposure to credit risk or financial datasets.
• Interest in data engineering.
• Experience with financial or pricing modelling.
