Installation Operative - HGV Crane and HGV

Location: Rochdale, United Kingdom; on-site and field-based duties involving excavation, installations, driving and crane operation.

Salary: £33,280 per year

What you will do

• Install and decommission street lighting equipment, EV connections, columns, signs and bollards.
• Carry out excavation for joint holes, installations and associated cable runs.
• Drive company vehicles, including HGVs, and operate a lorry-mounted crane.
• Remove or decommission assets and support skilled and specialist operatives.
• Follow health, safety, environmental and quality procedures, risk assessments and PPE requirements.
• Mentor young and vulnerable people on site and communicate courteously with the public.

Requirements

• Current NRSWA qualifications LA 01, LA 02 to 05 and LA 08.
• Up-to-date UK HGV Class II driving licence.
• NVQ Level 2 in Highways Electrical Work.
• CPCS Lorry Loader qualification or equivalent.
• Manual dexterity, accurate instruction-following and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work unsociable hours when required.

Nice to have

• Recognised HERS e-portfolio.
• G39, HESA 210 and 214 safe isolation qualifications.
• CSCS accreditation through the Highway Electrical Registration Scheme.
