AI & Analytics DevOps Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Munich area, based at the Airbus site in Ottobrunn, Germany; mobile working and flexible working arrangements are available.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and administer AI and analytics applications through CI/CD pipelines in restricted on-premise networks.
• Operate and monitor generative AI applications on OpenShift and Kubernetes, ensuring availability and performance.
• Build automated workflows and delivery tools for development teams and the AI & Data Analytics Product Owner.
• Align infrastructure and operational workflows with BSI IT-Grundschutz and German national security requirements.
• Produce architecture diagrams, runbooks, technical documentation, and standard operating procedures for audit readiness.
• Support incident response, disaster recovery, proof-of-concept evaluations, and GPU resource optimization in air-gapped environments.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least three years of experience in DevOps and continuous delivery practices.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, or Podman.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI and monitoring tools such as Prometheus or Grafana.
• Knowledge of AI/ML lifecycles, local AI model serving, GPU resource management, vLLM, and scripting with Python, Bash, or Go.
• Practical understanding of BSI IT-Grundschutz, DevSecOps principles, and security controls for air-gapped environments.
