DSP Specialist FAE (Field Applications Engineer) – West Region (DSP/FPGA)

Location: Remote, Sacramento, California, United States; travel required

Salary: $159.1K–$230.4K USD annually for Bay Area California; incentive opportunities may also apply.

What you will do

• Act as the technical interface for customers evaluating and implementing DSP solutions in hirify.global FPGAs.
• Provide architecture guidance, system-level recommendations, performance optimization, and design-in support throughout the customer design cycle.
• Demonstrate and position DSP architectures using DSP Builder, MATLAB, and Simulink.
• Define RF+DSP architectures and support DirectRF opportunities with sales, distribution, and the Aerospace, Defense and Government group.
• Debug complex system and application issues and develop reusable architectures, demonstrations, reference designs, and technical documentation.
• Deliver customer-facing and internal training while providing feedback to engineering and product teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of FPGA digital design experience with development tools such as Quartus or Vivado.
• 10+ years of digital signal processing experience, including concepts and applications such as filtering, channelization, beamforming, or RF/DSP chains.
• Experience with DSP Builder, System Generator, OneAPI, MATLAB, Simulink, Python, or C/C++.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field; electrical or computer engineering is preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, customer support, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to present at industry forums.
• Must be eligible for any required U.S. export authorizations and willing to travel.

Nice to have

• Experience with RF systems, communications, or signal-chain design.
• 5+ years of experience in image processing, communications, radar, or electronic warfare applications.
• 5+ years of experience with MATLAB/Simulink or other DSP-focused design flows.
• 5+ years of experience as an FAE, technical sales professional, or technical marketer.
• Post-bachelor’s degree.
