Finance Analyst (EdTech)

What you will do

• Run the month-end close and deliver reliable management accounts for senior stakeholders.
• Build and maintain budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial modelling processes.
• Analyse business costs and performance against plan, translating financial data into actionable insights.
• Own day-to-day finance operations, including payroll and payments.
• Lead year-end audit, statutory reporting, compliance activities, and relationships with external finance partners.
• Prepare analysis and materials for the board and investors while improving controls, routines, automation, and finance processes.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of financial statements, reporting, and accounting fundamentals.
• One to three years of experience at a Big 4 or leading mid-tier firm, or in an industry finance team; part-qualified ACA or ACCA.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills and strong financial modelling ability.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to communicate complex financial movements clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organisational, and numerical skills, with a strong focus on accuracy and deadlines.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously in an ambiguous, fast-changing environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Xero or similar accounting software.
• Familiarity with data and reporting tools.
• A strong instinct for automation and continuous process improvement.
