Senior Product Counsel (AI/Blockchain)

Location: San Francisco, California, in-person

Salary: $293,000–$325,000 per year, plus a long-term incentive package

What you will do

• Advise product, engineering, hardware, cryptography, design, and security teams throughout the product development and launch lifecycle.
• Provide legal guidance on digital identity, biometrics, agentic AI, blockchain, consumer financial products, privacy, consumer protection, online safety, and platform governance.
• Assess legal, regulatory, reputational, trust, safety, security, and user risks related to products, features, experiments, and business models.
• Draft and review product terms, disclosures, policies, user flows, and internal guidance materials.
• Support globally scaled product launches across evolving, multi-jurisdictional regulatory environments.
• Build legal playbooks, templates, review frameworks, operational systems, and self-service resources for product teams.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product counsel experience, including significant in-house experience supporting AI, consumer technology, financial technology, blockchain, digital identity, or other regulated technologies.
• Experience advising across the full product lifecycle, from development and user experience design through launch and ongoing operations.
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks covering areas such as financial services, blockchain, artificial intelligence, privacy, biometrics, consumer protection, online safety, advertising, or platform governance.
• Ability to understand complex technical systems, architectures, and product tradeoffs while balancing legal risk, user experience, operations, and product velocity.
• Juris Doctor from a top-tier law school and membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• Ability to work in person from San Francisco, California.
